Black & Decker CO95 Spacemaker Electric Can Opener Under Cabinet wo/Mounts
Under-Cabinet Can Opener Buyers’ Guide
The installation process may vary depending on the type of under-cabinet can opener you choose, so read the instruction manual of your model to find the exact instructions. Find the cabinet you want to use and clean it. While the cabinet doors are open, put the mounting template flush onto the underside surface of the cabinet. Then, fold the template along the cabinet edge, pull it tight and tape the template down into the desired place. Drill from below your cabinet upwards and drill a hole through the 4 places on the template, with a ¼-inch drill. Once you are finished with all the holes, remove the template and the tape. Wipe off any dust from the surface of the cabinet, and hold the can opener in place by aligning with the front of the cabinet. Screw it into place from inside the cabinet into the holes on the machine, and tighten the screws. Plug it into a socket and the can opener is ready to use.
Start by lifting the piercing level and tip your can so that the rim is located under the locating post. Push down on the piercing lever and make sure the cutter blade is on the inside of the can rim. Most under cabinet can openers have a hands-free option so it may not be necessary to hold the can or the lever while opening. The can opener will stop automatically when finished, then remove the can by holding it and raising the lever with your hand. Carefully take the lid out from the magnet and throw it away. Do not use a can opener to open any cans that contain a pull tab, a peel-off foil seal or any rimless cans.
