Cook’s Essentials Extra Large 14″ Rapid Skillet

extra-large we’re not kidding that’s not
even an accurate description this is
ginormous and I’ll even show you wait a
minute stay on that shot I’m gonna bring
up this is a dinner plate this is a
normal dinner plate
it’s about 10 inches wide that is the
extra-large 14 inch rapid skillet it’s
QBC to first look because the first time
we’re seeing it on our Airways this has
been on qvc.com
folks have been loving it already but
you’re getting the glass lid you’re also
getting 30 recipes along with the
skillet
but remember growing up we had so much
fun with the skillet for bro for sure my
mom how its back in better than ever my
mom always used to make you know
pancakes in the electric skillet and we
have kind of forgotten of electric
skillet so they were back for a little
while and they disappeared and now this
one is back and it is amazing for a
couple of reasons first of all obviously
this saw Oh see that I just threw
sausage right on the floor Oh works
here’s another one there we go alright
so you know that’s good cuz I have dogs
at home and they love it when I do that
there we go oh no we’re not even halfway
through this show I know I’m already
good but but it’s large so heap super
large and we love that because it allows
you to make excess that you can throw on
the ground and then but also look at
this nonstick unbelievably nonstick and
that’s not even all look at the one of
the words in the description of this
item
wrap it this heats up so fast I’m
telling you don’t preheat it and walk
away
you preheat it you wait there for three
and boom it is done Wow remember – when
I mentioned that the things that you’re
getting
well first I’m gonna show you the colors
that are down in nope they’re not
they’re up on top of the table right now
big we couldn’t actually make a fair
enough we’d run out of table the first
color here
that’s your cinnamon that’s that pretty
and then next door is your black and
I’ll lift this picture up so that you
can see that they’re really pretty too
then you have your copper color that’s
and then in honor of the Blue Gene chefs
oh thanks a much we have a little blue
here on the table
then at the very end for those of you
that love a little purple in your
kitchen we have that gorgeous eggplant
now take a look
you get 30 recipes also oh there’s a
white in front a platinum look at that
it’s a really light platinum so it’ll go
lovely in your modern kitchen yeah that
is our most limited choice now you do
get those 30 skillet recipes in that
really pretty booklet that comes along
with it you get the tempered glass lid
which is here for $39.98 it’s funny
there’s a review on qvc.com right now
under this item number that says I guess
I’ll have to go find a lid so you don’t
quite sure because it comes with a lid
but if yours did not you need to call us
so that we can get one to you but this
one is also on six easy payments of
$6.65 because every item in in the
kitchen with Mary is on six easy
payments what is that giant bottle here
if you are feeding a crowd there is no
better plan and to use in this pan 14
inches in capacity 3 inches deep this
holds a ton of food this is the skillet
chicken enchilada rice from my cookbook
comfort so if you want to make a little
crowd happy you want to make it all in
one pot it’s a great book to go with it
right there I love this book thank you I
also have a mouthful of hot rice excuse
me but it’s so good I love your dance
with flavor I really do and you know
what now that I know that Meredith made
an announcement on Facebook her last day
with us here at QVC is going to be
December 23rd you have to follow her on
Facebook and Instagram to find out where
life is going to take her next but I
tell you it’s not gonna take them very
far from me because this is a very dear
friend that has taught us so much about
how to cook in our very own kitchens and
her play with flavor is never over the
top but it’s always eye-opening and so
if you are looking for a tremendous
cookbook highly recommend one Paula
coming clean there the item number is F
1 3 3 I don’t have 1 3 3 8 6 February 8
6 o I have F 1 2 8 6 2 that’s also
another very good book and that’s
airfryer genius
by the blue-jean chef and so that’s why
I had that number stuck in my head but
this is how you could maybe you don’t
have a stovetop well right I mean and
the thing is if you were to get a 14
inch pan right you’d be very hard to get
a 14 inch pan that would actually work
on most of our stove tops because the
elements aren’t that big right go to get
a pan like this that has the element of
built in so that it’s going all the way
to the edges so I can do fajitas I mean
that would feed the skillet in chicken
enchilada rice would feed a huge amount
of people I have to show it to scale
again wait a minute look at this one
this is Meredith’s cookbook and that’s
the skillet this is a normal size book
yeah okay the skillet Dwarfs it so this
is a huge 14 at 14 inch and then come
from here you know doing fajitas shrimp
and steak got all my onions going on
lots of room there check this out this
is new one pot short rib ragu with me
now these are two times recipes so it’s
two twice the recipe from the book but
look at the amount of food here this is
ridiculous we could probably put a
serious amount in this bowl don’t me to
go get the wheelbarrow for gardening
center and still have so much left over
I mean I’m spooning and spooning it
doesn’t even look like I’m making a dent
so I’m telling you if you need to feed a
crowd this is the way to do it plus you
can turn that down have it just I’m just
gonna stop I was gonna say yeah turn it
down and have it just keep foods warm so
it could be on a buffet table you can
have this simmering over here and still
have your stovetop free to do all the
other things you want to because
Meredith as you have taught us for years
you can always cook more in a larger
cooking vessel but loot left you can
cook a little in a large pot but you
can’t cook a lot in a little I don’t
know this word less what is this word
less but point being if you have a big
skillet to start with then you can cook
anything you want in it you want to cook
a little bit of food you can you like
one egg in here but you also do 24
anything yes so this is the chicken
fricassee also from and I did this
actually live on Facebook not too long
ago yeah so you could take a look at
that but I just turned it up because I
want to show you how fast this comes to
a
loyal you can see it’s already starting
which is amazing and now I can just
squeeze some lemon over the house YUM
you have a beautiful easy easy dinner
and this again
two-time recipe from the cookbook so
you’re feeding a ton of people you’re
feeding about 12 people out of here I
have a question for you
controls where are they and how do I do
it so the controls are right back here
I’ll unplug this one so you’ll see it’s
a probe this of course you have to
unplug when you wash this you’re gonna
wash this in the sink because it’s way
too big to go in your dishwasher but you
see the controls here and they have a
high a medium a low and an off and then
there’s a whole bunch of big setting in
between off and low so you can set that
to keep something just warm without
memory on this on the on the stovetop on
the counter just give this a wipe clean
yeah the honestly you’re gonna be amazed
with this nonstick it is so so slippery
nonstick cleanup as a dream 300 have now
been ordered and in the kitchen with
Mary this is a QVC – first look never
seen this on our Airways before this is
the beautiful platinum it is 14 inches I
just want y’all to come up here for a
second that’s how big it is so Viggen
okay that’s the best analogy yeah that’s
enormous because if it covers this
noggin we’ve discussed it before this is
a tempered glass lid and you get the 14
inch skillet and you get the thirty
recipe booklet this is the eggplant that
beautiful purple this is the blue and
then this is the copper this is the
beautiful black and then this is the
cinnamon it is most popular in the show
$39.98 and it’s on six easy payments of

Large Skillets Buyers’ Guide

How are frying pans measured?

Measuring a frying pan is very simple and straightforward, and you will only need a measuring tape. Take the measuring tape in one hand and then put your pan on a steady flat surface. Open the measuring tape and stretch it across the center of the top side of the pan. Ensure you have covered the entire surface with the measuring tape and read the indicated numbers from the top to get the measurement. The diameter is measured by the surface inside the pan and near the bottom where the ingredients are usually placed. The pan depth can also be measured from the top of the rim to the bottom of the pan interior.

How big is a 3-qt pan?

A 3-quart pan is a kitchen vessel that is able to hold up to three quarts, or 96 ounces, of liquid ingredients. From the inside, it is 7″ long which is equal to 18 cm. This is the ideal size for almost all kitchen tasks as it is neither too big nor too small. You can use it for all small dishes such as boiled eggs, steamed rice, and boxed mac-and-cheese. It is big enough to make sauces, soups, and meat dishes too. Being only 3-qt it is not too heavy and will be easy to carry around. The cleaning process will also be easy and hassle-free. Because of its size, you can leave it on the stove to store and move it around when needed.
