How to Homemade Frozen Yogurt?

summer is right around the corner so
today we are making homemade frozen
yogurt that’s right and this is a great
alternative to regular ice cream we’re
only using three actually four simple
ingredients and we’re infusing it with a
little bit of vanilla vanilla we got a
real vanilla bean today and you can also
put whatever else you want into it as
well like Stuckey’s chocolate chips lean
beards exactly anything you want so
let’s go ahead and get started on making
this homemade frozen yogurt perfect
let’s go
we’re going to add in some Greek yogurt
right and we’re just using plain Greek
yogurt about three cups of it perfect
and why don’t I’ll scrape the rest and
you can grab the next ingredient and
some heavy whipping cream mmm about a
half of a cup perfect and what else do
we have Murray on stage just felt good
it is and some sugar nice and while
she’s put in the sugar I’m actually
splitting a vanilla bean right in half
and let me just move this a little bit
so you can see some more so what I did
was that just split it and we’re going
to open it up I think we’re going to
open it up there we go
also with the sugar one more thing to
note I actually put it in a food
processor because we want it really
really fine other one because we don’t
want like sugar chunks in our ice cream
so or in our frozen yogurt sorry and
then you just take the back of your
knife and run it along the vanilla bean
and it will scrape all those little
seeds out of the pod when you do this
and make sure you don’t miss any of
those yummy seeds all look at that now
Maria if you can mix that all up for me
okay we’re going to mix this up and then
we’re going to put it into the
refrigerator for about one hour and then
we’ll start freezing it oh look at all
those vanilla bean specks yummy right
yep our yogurt has sat in the fridge for
an hour so now we’re going to
it up it in our ice-cream maker
so AKM free
we’re yogurt is broken and now I’m just
going to pour in some yogurt
that’s right pull it all the way down
there you go they’re coming out looks
good and like I said before all those
little vanilla beans specks that are in
there from the vanilla seeds and I keep
saying developing
all right how does that look that was
pretty good okay stop you want to stop
it push it up all the way up so closes
gate very nice go ahead and turn it off
that way you can hear us again look and
I like to just top it with some fresh
berries
you could even top it with mints you
know for presentation so alright time
for the taste test
hmm oh you’re gonna love this
well is it hmm it’s so pretty because of
that Greek yogurt and the sweetness from
the sugar that we have and the heavy
whipping cream
you know just adds a little bit of extra
sweetness to it
mmm and the vanilla you can taste that
as well I would say this is definitely a
success mm-hmm no idea and again you can
mix it up any way that you want if you
want it strawberry chocolate blueberry
you could do um cherries with nuts or
get creative just like you would with
regular ice cream so this is a healthy
alternative with a Catholic Jim yes you
can put chocolate chips in there too
very nice well we’re going to enjoy this
but in the meantime we want you to head
to our website
amateur kitchen TV to find all of our
recipes and videos including this one
and we also want you to head to
facebook.com slash amateur kitchen and
what do they need to do with Alouette
but that’s right so you can follow us
every single day we’re going to keep
eating our frozen yogurt our homemade
frozen yogurt
then we’re gonna wish for summer to be
here like now
we hope you try it too and join us
time on enter again see you later bye

Frozen Yogurt Machines Buyers’ Guide

How does a frozen yogurt machine work?

The interior structural design of a frozen yogurt machine is very similar to that of a refrigerator or freezer. It consists of multiple coils that are chilled using different coolants to achieve lower temperatures inside the machine. When the liquid yogurt mix is added, it is cooled to the point of reaching a semi-solid state and becoming frozen yogurt. Next, the machine adds air into the yogurt, and once there is enough of it, the coils freeze the yogurt. This ensures there are no large ice crystals in the frozen substance, which would make it harder to eat. Frozen yogurt can be made using both dairy and non-dairy products, as the process only changes slightly depending on your choice.

How to make soft serve frozen yogurt?

Start by purchasing milk (the fattier, the better), yogurt, cream, and sugar. The cream is to make the soft serve heavier, and creamier resulting in the perfect consistency. The sugar is to prevent the formation of ice crystals and make it sweet. Use at least 3/4 cup sugar per quart of yogurt to avoid the crystals and add more if you desire a sweeter soft serve. You can also experiment with other sweeteners such as milk and agave. Whisk all the ingredients together until you notice all the sugar has dissolved then add it to your frozen yogurt maker. Churn the ingredients in the machine until you reach your desired soft consistency. You can also add other ingredients, such as fruits, for extra flavor.
