STX 10L Electric Sausage Stuffer Review

today I’m going to review this STX the
electric sausage stuffer it’s a 10 meter
mom it comes in 10 12 and 15
I wanted to channel your model because
it’s a shorter of the three and most of
my batches are 20 pounds or less 3 I’m
making 10 columns so my first
impressions are good I like it I think I
don’t know how you can do better better
for the price I mean these things can be
very expensive by paying basically $400
sport off of ebay delivery shifting meat
ground from California and took four
days to get here and I’m actually
excited to make sausage with it today I
had my Enterprise ready to go for this
morning because it wasn’t scheduled to
arrive until Monday but had it not so
let me show you some of the features
well first what you get in the package
you’ll get a unit assembled with two
packages inside the tank one will have
the stuffing tubes and the silicone
gasket gives you one extra silicone
gasket from the plunger and the second
package will have the foot pedal for 20
minutes I’ll zoom in on this head here
to show you the features okay this is
the power switch when you turn it on
get a light here and a light on the
speed control switch so this is a speed
control switch switch this toggle switch
below it turns the foot pedal off and on
this is a three position toggle the
opposition to dressing point it stops
automatically on the down position it
won’t go anywhere until you push the
foot pedal so even if quick control is
off and you go to the down position it
won’t put the plunger down so foot
control on down position you can be
loaded with me and you get the foot
control
it’s very smooth and very quiet the foot
control attaches with a 6 foot cord that
attaches to the unit here it’s not
wherever you power cord is a fixed to
the unit it’s not detaching and I’d
invented this one but it looks like
about 5 foot power cord the unit on ebay
says STX put on the box packaging
nothing on it anywhere it says STS or
any brand name at all but a lot of these
in the same orange a food King the
instruction manual says the electric
sausage no electric sausage stuffer
instructions so no brand name the power
is 25 watts 110 volts of course
frequency 60 Hertz just your standard
household outlet bring this up and I’ll
show you how to remove the 10k it’s
simple it pivots at these body positions
and locks in in the top positions by 2
spring loaded clips one on each side
hold it this direction slides out and it
has three feet sit it down you’re a
little detain the table going either
position it can face one way or the
other it doesn’t matter you could have
fall face in this way the tubes are 1
5/8 diameter OD one and a half but when
I’ll use most most always really Zameen
is fifteen sixteenths and this one is
just shy of 3/4 inch they’re all metric
sizes but you get four damage cubes now
quads and everything seems to be pretty
good running a magnet across it
everything sameness and non-magnetic
until you get to the well on this tank
10 is actually three pieces
not including the nut this is a rolled
stainless top not an extruded tone so it
has a seam in it so you have a roll top
with the scene that’s welded to a base
about an inch up on this face there’s a
scene that’s all ground and polished on
the outside so you really don’t see but
on the inside you can see the I’m not
sure you can see that you can see but
there’s a scene here and you can see the
line on the bottom so when you pass a
magnetic magnetic cross here it’s
somewhat magnetized but that’s not
uncommon for stained it’s grinding on
stainless or welding it can call it it
to uh to try to magnet we’re going oh
yeah the tubes the same thing even the
smallest tube has a seam in it you only
see the seam on the inside and not the
outside the two smaller tubes are welded
to the little fun in the bigger ones are
one piece but still wouldn’t seem in
that’s not going to be a problem but if
the tank of this unit is not expensive
so you’re not going to get the same tank
you would with a three thousand dollar
unit would be the only to walk for the
scene anything now with the silicone
gasket it remains to be seen but it
shouldn’t be a problem
the tanks not going to be perfectly
wrong with it seeming it’s going to have
a little imperfection in there so that
gasket should compensate for if you were
like these mold cast on enterprise was
just a cast on plate with no sear on any
kind of imperfection in the tank or
caused me to come by the piston the
piston has a off
this on the piston has a valve in bottom
also to release air so if you put 10
pounds of meat in here and holds 20 or
25 when you begin to compress it you
have air pocket in there so what will
happen is this fallible come up in the
air or just escape from the top of the
piston and get down to the meat without
oh you need to install what your studies
going to the pivot point when you get
here you just push up blocks in position
gears and these things are heavy-duty
let me unplug it I’ll turn around to the
back plate off nice and heavy steel
gears there on I measure them they’re
5/8 I expected to see something like 3/8
of an inch in there that might would
give me trouble when you’re putting it
in a you know straining it but they’re
heavy-duty 5/8 gears there’s a crankier
also I’m not sure with s4 maybe no
instructions about it maybe you can
manually turn it if you need
to make contact
clothes anyway
yeah that’s would be too fast
sure it started so long and sped it up
nice get a better position for the
viewers
that’s not fastest it lets play fast too
fast
I want to crank up one leg beeper yeah
turn it down a bit try this again at a
slower setting
that quiets move away
and this is what I have left in it
not much
this little tubes not very big I guess I
can wait and see what what’s leftover
well actually I could have put a little
more in there I ended up stopping it
when I ran out of KC
so anyway pretty much gets it all in
there then you have someone the bottom
plate okay my first impressions of this
electric sausage stuffer well I love it
it’s the first time ever and I’ve been
making sausage for well over thirty
years easily 57 years old so his first
time I was able to make it by myself and
it was quite easy
that’s Conda learning curve has to
adjust the speed you want to run it at
and also I was not as comfortable as I
would have been ordinarily trying to get
it I guess a better camera angle for the
video but it worked flawlessly the seal
on the piston worked great there was no
meat not a not an ounce on this side of
the plate which I don’t I have that
problem with my enterprise when you’re
stuffing you always get me to look over
the plate where there’s no gasket around
it you have to clean the pan is easy to
clean them and you just pull it off into
the sink and rinse it out with hot water
and super easy to clean this took proper
almost as long as the pan I guess as a
cylinder we got to clean the air valve
pull the gasket off clean where the gas
was and clean the gasket and the gas is
going to go on only one direction it’s
not a symmetrical gasket you have to put
it on its bell shape you have to put it
on with the Bell one outward facing down
and what happens is meet as you’re
compressing the meat it’s going to come
up on this side of the cylinder into
this boy and push the silicone gasket
awkward so even if your cylinders not
quite wrong just gas it’s going to flex
the shape
cylinder because the meat pressure from
the meats pushing this gasket constant
against the sidewalls of this sooner
that rod is not stainless it’s a steel
chrome plated steel so I’ll put a
lubricant on there to make sure it
doesn’t get stuck screwed back on I’ll
lower the piston down the bottom of the
cylinder and put my my accessories in
and save until the next time so I hope
this video was helpful for somebody I
was looking for this particular unit on
YouTube before I purchased it was unable
to find it so I thought well if I get it
like it or not I’ll post a video about
it but I mean you cannot beat the price
for this stuff er I wouldn’t call it a
commercial stuffer no but for
residential home use I don’t know how
could possibly wear it all I’m sure
parts aren’t easy to find if you needed
one the seal the gasket you can the
silicone gasket because they’re they’re
common there other other manufacturers
use it it’s just a common gasket but and
a switch I could always bring something
off on that they’ll be some parts that
are hard to find
if wood went bad but for the price at
the sausage maker a 20 pound unit at the
sausage maker is with election when he’s
through three thousand dollars 29.99 I
can buy seven of these and have money
left over to make 200 bucks left over
$235 after I bought seven these I set up
$235 abajo sausage making survived you
know so is the sausage maker unit a
better unit oh no doubt it is but how
are you going to wear out seven of these
before you wear out one of those you
just can’t happen alright hope you got
some use out of this video you’ll have a
great day

Electric Sausage Stuffers Buyers’ Guide

How to use an electric sausage stuffer?

Start by assembling the sausage stuffer according to the instructional manual. Fill in the meat cylinder with ground meat and spices mix. Place the cylinder back into the stuffer and select a proper size stuffing tube-based upon what you are going to make. Screw on the sausage tube to the output tap and get some sausage casing ready. Feed the casing all the way onto the stuffing tube and crank the handle to push the piston down. Once the sausage casing is full, remove it from the tube and tie the ends. Most sausage stuffers also come with a foot pedal, so you can easily operate the machine while using your hands to do the other parts of the job.
