Ninja Foodi Deluxe 8qt Pressure Cooker First Look

the ninja foodie deluxe 8 quart pressure
cooker brand new on the market I just
got it today and I can already see I
think I’m gonna like it new controls got
a deluxe reverse reversible rack that
holds up to two times more capacity it’s
got a yogurt feature something no other
food he has it’s got a recipe book that
comes with it it has 50 recipes and in
those 50 recipes some of them are just
for this device so we’re not gonna cook
in it today right now I’m cool I’m a
cook in it and get it I’ll soon have up
cooking videos but we’re gonna get it
out get the look and feel of it just
kind of get used to it and we’re gonna
do the water test which is not a bad
idea on any pressure cooker that you buy
and especially if it’s your first time
but we’re going to do the water test
just to get an idea of how all these
functions operate I’m John Sanders
welcome to in the kitchen with jelly
double-oh-seven
let’s get this started and get it out of
the box okay so here is everything that
was in that box here is the new
reversible rack which is fairly similar
to the old one you can you can flip it
over just like the other winners turn it
this way to cook on the new part about
the new rack is this right here you set
this on there and you got two layers you
can cook whatever here and something
right here at the same time so it does
double the capacity and that’s a good
idea it came with all this paperwork
it came with register now for an
exclusive accessory offer so I don’t
know what that is yet because I have not
registered mine I will I assure you but
I’m assuming you’ll get an offer
for some of these accessories here maybe
at a discounted price not sure the the
recipe book with 50 mouth-watering
recipes and I’ll see if I can flip the
one right quick to show you what here we
go this is when I landed on it’s the
dealer there indicated by deluxe recipe
uses deluxe reversible rack and I’ve saw
several in here and there was another
one they’re not all that just some of
them and I haven’t counted them but if
you saw that when I flip by the meatball
parmesan sub that’s another deluxe
recipe so it came with these right here
which are very high
as you know if you’ve ever used them
here’s the larger basket that the 8
quart takes very similar to my other 8
quart air frying basket the lid it’s
it’s fairly similar it’s different in
looks but I mean I think it functions
pretty much the same one thing I did
notice the gasket is not that clear
looking any morning if you know on
almost every pressure cooker I got it is
a clear gasket and they pick up odors
and maybe that maybe that’s why they
changed that material maybe that’ll help
eliminate that now you can see it’s a
good-looking unit
it does look good the controls feel good
I have not plugged it in we’re going to
do that in a minute oh one other thing
I’ll show you on the lid is this right
here on all the ones I’ve ever had
before these are black and you can’t see
them now they made this one silver they
left this one black they didn’t make it
silver but it’ll be easier than it was
and it has an arrow indicating which way
to go for locked so it’s that simple
we’re fixing to get some water in this
thing and try it out one more thing I’m
gonna try and show might be a little
tricky but this right here and I it’s on
the lid of this box and it’s this these
accessories right here and I mean some
good ones and I’ve never seen any of
these before
one is a folding crisping rack and I’m
sure you’ve got to purchase it I know
you got to purchase these extra but
it’ll turn tortillas into taco shells
finished off stuffed peppers or cooking
entire 16 ounce package of bacon right
there I mean I’m gonna own these I just
got to get them ordered I didn’t know
they were available an extra cooking pot
that’s a great idea and that’s because a
lot of times mine’s in the refrigerator
because I’ve got something that cooked
well I might want to use it for
something else but that’s got something
in it that I cooked a day or two ago so
I might get me an extra pot the glass
lid now I’ve got something at work I do
I don’t have one for ninja but I’ve got
something at flip but you know what I
know that no fit perfect and I may get
that this tube pan I don’t cook many
cakes in it but it they offer it I may
get it who knows the multi per
it’s baking sling I’m gonna have that I
like that you’ve seen people use they’ll
fold up aluminum foil and put around
their stuff to pick up well that’s what
that’s supposed to eliminate and it’s a
good idea so that being said we’re gonna
get this thing plugged in get the three
cups of water in it kind of play around
with the controls and see how it does
and I’ll be right back
okay so everything’s been washed I’m
going to turn it on and we’re going to
kind of play with the controls to kind
of get give you an idea of what they do
and so far so good I’ve toyed with them
their common sense is straightforward
and here we go we’re going to start it
up one thing it does is it defaults back
to the last place you had it set and
that’s that’s what it’s done here that’s
the last place I had it set all right
well sear saute it is real similar to
the other foodies it’s just a different
setup when you want to change your tilt
you just press in other words I had it
set to function now I’ve got it set to
temp and you see it flashing and go
medium medium high low medium low and
that’s it and then of course you can
adjust time on sear saute but now when
you want to change your function then
you want to get that light lit now the
functions we roll through here there’s a
yogurt and a slow cook the steam which
you can’t change as you notice if your
lights not lit up you can’t change that
particular temp or time and here the
temps not lit up you can’t change the
temp on Steam on pressure you can so
again if you want to change the tip on
pressure to low you press temp get that
white light lit and then you turn it to
low that’s the only two settings you
have on pressures high and low or if you
want to change the time you press the
time you get that white light lit up and
there you go and you just roll it around
where you want now to get back to
changing to your functions again you got
to get that white light lit under the
function then we can go over here and go
through all these functions now one
thing I noticed on broiled you can’t
change it stays lit up but you can’t
change the temp on broil it won’t let
you it’ll never go white right there but
it’s 450 degrees now this is a
760 what device so that’s that’s I know
that’s higher than my 6.5 I’m not
positive on the other eight but 450
degrees is plenty hot enough for bro and
then say let’s say the bake roast there
it is you want to change the time again
you get that time lit up the only change
the temp you get the template up so now
one thing I also noticed we’ll go back
to function and we’ll roll it down to
dehydrate it starts at 150 but one thing
I notice I just wanted to see the
hydrate we’ll go all the way to 80
degrees Fahrenheit and then all the way
up to I think it’s 190 195 so your
maximum and minimum um dehydrate is 80
degrees Fahrenheit and 195 Fahrenheit
and the times I’m sure or all over the
board and they’re 15 by the way it’s a
15-minute increment on this so I don’t
know how how you
there you go 12 hours you go 12 hours on
dehydrate and that’s something I haven’t
done yet
but I’ve got the stuff I may do it
before long we go back to function and
we’re gonna come around here to steam
I’m sorry to pressure because we’re
fixing to do the water test so we’re set
up for pressure I want it on high I’m
just gonna just for the fun of it I’m
going to change this to 15 minutes and
we’re gonna see how it does so I’ll tell
you what let’s just do it right now put
the water in here is a three cups of
water I’m adding that put the lid on
lock it seal it now to start the device
you get any function you want to start
you press this button in like this and
that is all there is to it it’s going to
stay there till it comes to pressure and
we’ll sleep for sure because this is
honestly the first time I’ve done it but
I’m pretty sure I read this stays there
till it gets up to pressure the net
display something different
we’ll be back in just a second to see
exactly what that is okay there it went
right then the pen came up in eight
minutes almost exactly eight minutes so
now we’re waiting on this to go from pre

  • whatever it goes – quite honestly
don’t remember don’t know so when that
happens I’ll bring you back and then
we’re going to a bleed it down and see
what the hell water looks like be right
    back
and there it is and that was almost
exactly a minute so it was eight so
we’re at nine minutes for three cups of
water right that’s pretty impressive to
come to pressure and begin to cook and
you can see we’ve got these lights lit
up and we’re going so I’m gonna let that
    cook for a few minutes I don’t know I
might let it go I’m gonna cut it down –
let’s see if I can do that with it
counting we’re gonna move this down to
five minutes and five minutes of
pressure should be good and I’m assuming
you got to press it again yes
I wasn’t sure so yeah you got to set it
to wherever you want if you want to
change your times and then press the
start button so in five minutes we’re
gonna look at that water and see how
pressure cook water looks be right back
okay so one of the reasons I’m finishing
this out is just to see what that
switches to and see how it reads now one
thing else depends not read anymore it’s
a silver pen if that bothers you I don’t
know why I just want to see what that
switches to and then we’re gonna kind of
call this done and I’ll give you my
thoughts on it maybe and there it is as
simple as it can be it says done and I’m
sure it go what’ which tells you it’s
warming and it’s starting to count up
and you also get the red indicator down
here to keep warm his own so hey I like
it so far it is so good so I’m
definitely gonna do some cooking in it
real soon but I’m gonna show you the
sides of that box I’m gonna bleed that
off but I’m going to show you the size
of that box and some other things that
you might want to know so hold up okay
so maybe there is one more thing I want
to show you when you when you knock it
off a seal it doesn’t just automatically
start bleeding you have to take it all
the way to that upper there’s a little
detent that that sits in and if you
don’t go all the way to there it doesn’t
    start bleeding that’s different the
other one if I’m not mistaken it has
that big tent but you don’t have to go
all the way to it and if you don’t go
all the way to it on this one I mean you
    can move it across
that that whole thing it really doesn’t
start bleeding down until you get up on
that little detent and set it down it
might be a good idea you know it’s open
at that point so I’ll be right back okay
so the first thing I want to say is
nobody’s paying me to say any of this I
purchased this out of my own pocket I
got it today and I’m not affiliated
    whatsoever
like I said paid cash for this they sent
it to me here’s some of the artwork on
the front that that kind of gives you a
little bit of idea what it does pressure
cooker ideas airfryer and crisper ideas
tender crisper and that’s what this
thing does best and as far well it does
all of that good but this right here is
the part that really makes it unique and
different than any other device on the
market and I know I sound like a
Salesman for I’m not this is just my
honest opinion and I don’t want to come
off that way because that’s not the
situation this right here take that
chicken well here it is I’ve cooked them
before in under an hour’s what is it
well it advertises under an hour
I’ve got really close to the exactly the
way that chicken right there looks it’s
    it’s really it’s a really neat device
and you’ve heard me saying if you’ve
watched my videos before you already
know how I feel but in case you haven’t
like it says the 7/7 pound chicken in
under an hour and then here’s the other
features that I think are gonna work
    real well
one is that deluxe reversible rack well
the way they’ve made it it’s gonna make
it simple to stack things you don’t have
to worry about trying to piece something
here piece something there it’s gonna
work right out of the gate and then the
ceramic coated baskets now the one that
the main cooking basket is one of the
best devices I’ve ever cooked in cleans
out with a paper towel this is the same
way this is also a 5 quart nonstick
ceramic coated basket fits 4 pounds of
french fries well the one the main
basket is also an 8 quart nonstick
ceramic coated cooking pot serves 8 to
10 so I just want to touch on it it is
an 1800 or 17 hundred and 60 watt device
I think I said that and I just want to
make sure I go over everything
and touch on everything that needs to be
touched on but here’s a few things I’ll
say right quick here’s another thing
1760 what like I said family size
cooking pot cooking crisp lid silicone
mitts it comes with and it says chef
created it cookbook 45 plus recipes and
cooking charts well it’s got 50 recipes
    and like I said I appreciate y’all
watching my video and I love this device
I really do having cooked in this one
but I love the ninja foodie I’m gonna
put a thing for you to subscribe right
here because I’m gonna be doing recipes
in it obvious and I’ll get them up as
    soon as I can
and I’ll be doing my other ninjas too
I’ll be doing the normal ones I mean but
I’m gonna go to this one to sum so one
of the main questions I get asked almost
always if not my number one question is
should I get the six-and-a-half or the
eight well unless you’re a family of two
and you know you’re never going to cook
different than that I always recommend
the eight core and this that’s because
of stuff like pot roast or even the
seven pound chicken I mean you know you
    can get a bigger it’s a it’s common
sense but you know if you get with the
six and a half which is what I cook in
most time on most of my cooking videos
you’ve seen that six and a half but if
you want to if you’re ever going to cook
for more people than that and you think
you might want to do a pot roast and
stuff like that I mean you don’t want to
start with such a small pot roast in
just a few vegetables that again this is
a family of two it’s common sense meanie
how I always recommend almost always
recommending a quart so anyhow thank you
all for watching again I’ll put
something for you to up my big hair to
be floating here you can touch and
subscribe so you can see these next
videos and I will mention you got to go
out beside on these new way to YouTube’s
doing it and you have to scroll down on
the bail and if you want every one of my
videos you got to pick the solid bail
and there’s three different or two or
three options but the solid builds when
it gets all of them if you want to do
that and I appreciate that I’ll have a
video right here for you to watch them
something else that I’ll put up thanks
again for watching my video I’m John
Sanders I love you all come back to see
    me bye bye

Ninja Foodi Deluxe Buyers’ Guide

Is Ninja Foodi Deluxe an air fryer?

The Ninja Foodi Deluxe is a pressure cooker. It includes an option titled “AIR CRISP,” where it functions as an air fryer and fries food while also providing extra crispiness and crunch using little to no oil. Press the AIR CRISP button. The air fryer option will display a default temperature setting when selected, but you can use the up and down arrows to pick a temperature between 300°F and 400°F. You also pick the time of frying in minute increments up to a maximum of 1 hour. When your food is being fried, you can open the lid to shake or toss your ingredients to ensure that they cook evenly. Once you place it back and close the lid, the cooking will automatically resume.

What is the highest temp for the Ninja Foodi Deluxe edition?

The highest temperature available on a Ninja Foodi Deluxe is 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Although, the maximum temperature you can use, depends on the option you choose. When you press the air crisp option, the machine will function as a pressure cooker, and you can choose a temperature between 300°F and 400°F. This also applies to the broiling option. For dehydrating your ingredients, press the dehydrate button, and you will be able to choose a cooking temperature between 105°F and 195°F. When you select the PRESSURE option, you can either select high or low, without any specific temperatures. This also applies to steaming and slow cooking. When choosing the SEAR/SAUTÉ option, the default temperature will be shown, and you can use the buttons to select low, medium-low, medium, medium-high, or high, according to what you require for your recipe.
