Nesco Pressure Cooker Buyers’ Guide

How to use a Nesco pressure cooker?

First, to open the lid grasp the handle, turn it clockwise until it stops, and pull it up. Take out the cooking pot and put your desired ingredients into it. Do not overfill past 4/5 the height of the cooking pot. If your food is going to expand while cooking, do not fill the pot past 3/5 of its height. The minimum the pot should be filled is 1/5 the height of the pot. Insert the pot back into the base once your food is inside. Close the lid and turn it counter-clockwise until you feel it lock securely. Place the plug into the base and plug the cord into a socket. Push the START/CANCEL button, then choose the desired settings. Push start to begin cooking. Once the cooking time is up, press cancel and let the pressure be released for 10-15 minutes before removing your food.

Is Nesco pressure cooker similar to Instant Pot?

An instant pot is a multi-cooker with 7 functions, including that electric pressure cooking, slow cooking, rice cooking, making yogurt, steaming, warming, and sautéing all in one. The pressure cookers complete only one of these functions. If you are on a budget, have limited kitchen space, or use the pressure cooking function frequently, then the Nesco pressure cooker is the choice for you. The Nesco pressure cooker preserves the taste and the nutrients of the ingredients being cooked very well and reduces cooking time by 70 percent when compared to regular cooking. This makes it ideal for students, or those constantly busy, as cooking won’t take up most of the day, and you won’t have to wait long for your food to be ready.
