KitchenAid Slicer and Shredder

hello minions and welcome back to
another video today I’m going to be
showing you how to put together the
different parts and how to use the
KitchenAid slicer and shedder
attachments so they come they should
come in this big box that has this
picture and this it shows you all the
pieces that you should have so you
should have four different cones
you should have a coarse slicer a medium
slicer a shutter and another type of
so you will also have this big
thing that is mostly the main thing that
you will need um stow this you should
also have this and in mine I also have
the meat grinder got it right here and
look something like this how’s this big
hole on the top and this little ring
with of them holes in the middle and has
these little pieces but today I’m going
to be showing you mostly the slicer and
shredder part maybe I’ll show you this
part in another video so what you need
to do first of all is
peel your vegetable and I have my carrot
and zucchini right here I’m going to
peel these and wash them and I’ll be
right back okay so I got all my veggies
cut right here my carrots and my
zucchini and by the way I don’t cut my
zucchini like I don’t peel my zucchini I
just sliced a butt so you will also need
a bowl so unscrew the little thumb screw
and remove this then use this and just
apply it in the hole kind of wiggle it
and then secure it with the hose drill
right here okay now I’m going to use
define slicer so what you’re gonna do is
get it right here so place this on this
hand and then use this that has a little
hook and kind of twist it push and twist
like this and then now you should see
this little square that should be just
the shape of this and just and remember
that this is really sharp so you can use
a towel and which I’m going to use right
now so just twist so that it’s secured
just like this and now just place it
wiggle it so that you will find the
right position and once you will know
that it’s secured all right once you
can’t move it more than this you should
see this little things right here that
are depressors for your veggies and what
I’m going to do since these carrots are
really long I’m just going to cut them
in half I’m just going to cut them in
half so that it’s going to take shorter
time and just staying there and this
can’t go that high so you’ll have to cut
them a little bit so I’m going to go do
that right now and I’ll be right back
okay so we got my carrots cut very
skinny and my zucchini too so now what
you need to do is hold the food pushers
and insert your zucchini or your
vegetable and it should it stick nicely
just like that and then make sure that
you have a bowl under cause you don’t
want veggies all over the place so let
me move this over so make sure that you
don’t stick your hand in there while
it’s it’s cutting because it they’re
really sharp so places zucchini same
process and put it on low
and one more thing um if you if you like
push down really hard it’s gonna become
crumbs like this so you gotta still push
but lightly and pretty disks circle like
this will come out I’ve done most of
them and this is my last turkey knee so
I’m gonna finish that and then we’re
going to get on to carrot
so what I’m going to do now is see this
little latch I shouldn’t call it um so
we’re going to pull this up and then
gonna grab this out so I don’t since I’m
doing my two vegetables mixed together
I’m not going to go and wash this off
tap it so that the veggie will come out
and then put it back in its place okay
make sure that it can come out so like
this and now it’s carrot time so it’s
the same thing and since they’re really
small I’m just gonna place a few inside
so that it won’t take as long
this got horizontal and I don’t want
that because don’t come out like this
and I want little circles so just do the
same thing do little I’m doing three
because three fit inside my thing so I’m
going to go ahead and finish those and
I’ll show you the result at the end okay
so I am all done and now I’m going to
show you how to do to clean up so first
of all I’m going to take this cutting
board and the bowl out of the way then
I’m gonna set my edges aside and so I’m
going to have a bowl a little one so
that I won’t mess the whole counter up
so again pull this little latch up pull
it up and then kind of twist this and it
will pop right out because if we don’t
pull this up I’ll be locked so now what
we did to tighten this we’re going to do
it to untighten it so I’ll show you up
like this just stick it in and twist it
the other way and use a towel because
it’s really
tight and you’d want to cut yourself
there it is so you should have this you
should have this popped right out and
then now kind of put this in and tap on
it a little bit and remember that it’s
very sharp and I’m just going to get a
rubber spatula and this side and let me
move this secretly so with my rubber
spatula I’m going to make this slide
like this not going against the the
knife because then I’ll just move my
spatula but I’m going outwards so the
rest I’m just gonna wash it off because
I can’t get in and and most of it is on
my counter so we’re gonna get some of
that and my surface is clean so don’t
have to worry about someone just food
away
cuz it’s not dirty or anything so what
I’m doing right now is I’m putting the
dead badger that was in here inside here
this extra video I’m going to be doing
we’re going to be shredding some cheese
and I’m really excited about that but I
love cheese and I have a lot of fun
so I got my American cheese and my
little bowl or container unscrew this
part what it sound we’re safe so you
won’t lose it wiggle it on and tighten
it so now we’re going to twist until
this hooks together and then oops
and that little square and I fit with
that little square going to tighten it
and get a towel cause oh it’s hard
tighten it and then stick it right in
okay this is not on all the way and
that’s bad cause it almost fell I’m
going to cut about half of this okay
like this then just stick it inside like
this
and remember to have your bowl now I’m
going to keep this up here because I
don’t I don’t know the distance of what
it’s gonna fall so I’m just gonna turn
it on low it looks really pretty
so it looks like curly cheese and it’s
really pretty and it looks cool so it’s
really pretty shredded cheese and it’s
good because I like American cheese and
yeah so you should try this because it
looks really cute once it looks really
cute
once it’s it’s shredding so make sure
you try it at home
and like this video bye
