Keurig K150 Brewer Cleaning Instructions
Keurig K150 Buyers’ Guide
Start your brewing by lifting the handle of the coffee maker and select your K-Cup. Then, put a K-cup portion pack into the holder, until the needles puncture it from the top and the bottom. Close the lid of the K-cup holder by lowering the handle. Choose your brew size and place your mug onto the drip tray. There can be a few seconds pause before the coffee starts to pour out. The entire brewing should last around 1 minute and will end when a puff of air is let out from the K-Cup. The display will also show when the brew is done. To finish the brewing, lift up the handle, take out the used K-Cup and throw it out.
Over time, limescale may build up in your brewer, which can affect your brewing process. You should descale your brewer every 3-6 months. Start by switching off and unplugging your Keurig K150 and removing the water tank. Pour out any remaining water so the reservoir is empty. Place the empty water tank into the brewer and pour out the entire bottle of descaling solution into the water tank. Then, fill the empty bottle with water and add that to the reservoir. Turn the brewer on and make a cleansing brew using the 300ml descaling option from the menu and pour out the contents into the sink. Repeat this until “add water” light turns on and let the brewer sit for 30 minutes while still on. Rinse the reservoir with water and make at least 12 more brews to fully cleanse the machine.
