How to Marinate Meat With FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer?

if your FoodSaver came with a marinade
container you can marinade meat very
quickly so if you forgot to do it
overnight you can do it in about 10
minutes while you’re getting other
things ready for dinner I’ve got a pork
chop in here with a cranberry orange
marinade and I filled it so that it
completely covers the pork chop
I’ve left about an inch of space so
don’t get it too high and make sure
everything that goes in here is cool you
don’t want to put hot liquids in when
you’re marinating here’s the lid for the
marinade container it has a suction lid
at the top and there are a couple of
settings I’m going to use this one that
says open it tells me that this will
marinate with a v3 model and I know the
V 3840 if you have a different model you
might use the setting on the other side
so this is set to open and I’m going to
just match up this little lip with the
one on the bottom and press down as
firmly as possible the hose for the
accessories is down at the bottom
finishing just pull that out it’s got a
little nozzle and push that in as far as
you can into this knob at the top so now
with my machine on I’m going to turn on
marinade it will vacuum this out and
then let it stay vacuum for a bit then
it goes off back in for a minute so it
runs about three cycles while that gives
and then you’ll get a beef at the end
when it’s all finished so once it’s done
you can use it right away or put it in a
smaller container and keep it in the
fridge until you need it
see the liquid just starting to bubble a
little bit so just flash here while it’s
working and it will go through couple of
these cycles so you’ll have to be a
little bit patient but it’s better than
letting it go overnight as long as that
light is flashing at the side you know
it’s still working and now it’s
releasing the vacuum here a little
hissing sound so it lets it rest for
about 30 seconds and then it will start
the process again so it does that a
couple more times and then you’ll be
done starting up the vacuum again
so now it’s finished and it’s beeping to
let me know that I can come and turn it
off turn it off I just press any button
and that stops the beeping and then I
can remove as you can hear the vacuum
seal was certainly effective and then
you be able to open it and take out your
meat and use it

FoodSaver Marinator Buyers’ Guide

How to use a FoodSaver marinator?

Start by making enough of your marinade to cover the ingredients inside a marinating canister fully, but leave one inch of air between the contents and the lid. Make sure that there is no food on the rubber gasket underneath the lid or on the rim of the canister. Insert the end of your accessory hose into the port on your marinator. Make sure the hose is securely in place on the lid and that the lid is securely arranged. Turn the knob on the container, so the arrows are at the Vacuum/Canister option. Push the canister button on the control panel. When the vacuum is finished, turn the lid arrows to the Closed/Store option and enjoy it.
