How To Use the FoodSaver Accessory Feature?
FoodSaver Accessories Buyers’ Guide
FoodSaver accessories will give you a large amount of storage flexibility, so you will never have to worry about vacuuming again. Zipper bags, containers, canisters, bottle stoppers, and jar sealers must all be used with the accessory feature. If you have an automatic vacuum sealer, you will have a retractable handheld sealer on the machine. With a manual machine, you will have a retractable hose. You may use the hose with an adapter when sealing. Attach the hose to the opening of the canister or container you will be sealing. Press the vacuum/seal button, and once the red light has switched off, you may remove the hose, indicating your vacuuming process is complete. If sealing a plastic bag, use both the hose and the retractable sealer to vacuum and seal the bag.
After each use of your FoodSaver, you must remove the drip tray and wash it. Remove it by simply sliding it out. Use warm soapy water to wash it thoroughly. You may also place it in the top rack of the dishwasher to be cleaned. If liquid remains in the drip tray, the adjustable food sensors located in the drip tray will not work properly. This machine also has an indicator to warn you when the drip tray is full. The unit will switch off, and the “full tray” indicator light will turn on if there is liquid buildup. Once you have emptied and washed the tray, place it back into the position it was in, and set the right end inside first and securely snap both sides down.
