Char-Broil Grill Burner Replacement

an old Charbroil grill that the case and
everything is in pretty good shape of
the burner rusted out so the old burner
I pulled it out and cleaned some things
up here’s the old one you can see where
everything is rusted through pretty
common after a number of years so it
took the old one out and bought a
replacement part parts are readily
available they range from about twenty
to thirty dollars and we’ll go and
assemble that next and then slide it in
as far as taking this old piece out
really simple the knobs come off there’s
a screw here and a screw here take those
off and the whole unit drops down a
little bit and there are two little
springs that you undo on either either
side and the whole unit just comes out
here’s our replacement burner all the
parts we need to assemble and the
instructions pretty straightforward
shouldn’t take too long it’s kind of
important to match up your covers for
the right side this is the universal
burner and as far as our old burner we
want to line up the side to make sure
it’s the same same distance the holes
are narrower on one side than they are
on the other and that side matches up
pretty well with where those holes are
so we’re going to cover cover that side
so we’ve got our covers that came in the
kit because our tubes are going to be
connected to the other side and those
cover plates are screwed down the next
step is we need to put these little
extenders on as this is what’s going to
give us the brackets for our feet the
hex nuts are included
to approximate these legs about where
the other burner was where it’s sat so I
found about a quarter of an inch roughly
seem to be about right for this one so
we’ll do the same on the other side too
for one leg on this side this is what
holds the burner up from the bottom of
the grill I’m going to keep in mind is
your hold down screw this can be put
either on one of these sides or under
one of the connections here but for this
Charbroil grill we’re going to put this
here it’ll go through one of the large
openings on the bottom and then be held
down with an extra nut moving on to
putting our tubes on kind of same as the
other side but the gas gets down and
then these go on there’s our replacement
burner all assembled pretty
straightforward pretty easy to do now
we’ll take the server to the grill and
start connecting the stuff up these caps
come off so we can put these through the
openings in the bottom of the grill put
those caps off the slide right through
here
we’re all complete put back together
everything comes out nice and even nice
and smooth saved another grill from the
landfill and looks pretty good one thing
to keep in mind is the opening where
those two tubes go through can be very
tight double-check your unit
double-check your replacement burner to
make sure it’ll go through this one
didn’t fit so I cut the metal back and
pulled them through each of them are
designed differently just something to
keep in mind but for about 30 bucks
we’re back in business thanks for
watching
you
